Swedish Massage Therapy
The main benefit of Swedish Massage Therapy is that it helps to relax the entire body. There are however many benefits to this therapy which helps to bring balance to the physical, mental and emotional self, and some of these include:
• Improves circulation and flexibility
• Decreases muscle tension and toxins
• Lowers stress levels
• Improves immune function
• Helps with calm and clear thinking
• Enhances health and nourishment of the skin
• Improves posture and deeper and easier breathing
• Encourages digestion
• Helps to promote a better nights sleep
In Swedish Massage the session starts with broad, flowing strokes that will help to calm the nervous system and relax exterior muscle tension. As the body becomes relaxed, pressure will gradually be increased to relax specific areas and relieve areas of muscular tension or reptitive activity. People usually feel very relaxed after a massage and may also experience the freedom from aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity.
Hot Stones Massage
By massaging with hot stones it allows for a deeper and more relaxing treatment, aiding the client to relax and let go of any stress in the body more easily. The hot stones used are smooth, rounded volcanic basalt stones from Peru which have great heat retention qualities.
